Jon Yates Marketing is a consulting practice founded by Jon Yates. We work with home service business operators — roofers, HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, painters, restoration companies — who need better lead flow, better follow-up, or custom tools that don't exist off the shelf.
The work falls into three buckets: lead generation, CRM implementation, and custom software. They overlap. A lead generation engagement often surfaces a CRM problem; a CRM engagement often surfaces a need for a custom tool. We take the work that fits — and refer out what doesn't.
The practice is small on purpose. Every engagement gets attention from someone who can build it, not just sell it. Pricing reflects the work involved, not the brand on the proposal.

How we work
Remote-first, with on-site visits when the project warrants
Most engagements run video calls and shared docs. Some implementations involve a day or two on site with your team.
What we don't do
We don't sell generic marketing retainers, SEO content packages, or "growth hacking." We don't take percentage-of-revenue deals or fee-per-lead arrangements. We don't take engagements where the scope is fuzzy and the budget is unknown — we'd rather quote nothing than quote badly.
